Simon is a highly qualified and registered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney in both Australia and New Zealand with a strong technical foundation in engineering and over twenty years experience in intellectual property law. With a Bachelor of Engineering (Joint Honours) in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a Master of Intellectual Property Law from the University of Melbourne, Simon brings a unique blend of technical insight and legal proficiency to the practice.

Throughout his career, Simon has worked with a diverse range of clients- from startups to established companies-helping them protect their innovations and navigate complex IP landscapes. Simon spent a period of time seconded as an in-house IP counsel for a major gaming company and also took a brief time-out from his attorney role to work as a patent examiner at IP Australia. Simon specializes in patent and trade mark filings, IP strategy, and providing legal counsel for IP disputes. Simon’s aim is to help clients achieve strong and enforceable IP portfolios that align with their business objectives.
