Anthony is a registered Trans-Tasman Patent and Trade Mark Attorney, specializing in intellectual property protection across diverse areas of subject matter, including chemical compositions, mechanical engineering, and medical technologies.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) with First Class Honours, majoring in Chemistry and Microbiology (University of Sydney), a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry (University of Sydney), and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law (UTS, Sydney). Anthony is also a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia.
With years of research experience in chemistry and microbiology, Anthony applies his scientific and analytical expertise to his work. His mechanical skills, honed through do-it-yourself projects in his spare time, contribute to his practical approach – sometimes creative, sometimes questionable, but always functional. These academic and practical skills enable him to understand and protect various clients’ inventions effectively.
Anthony advises clients on patentability, freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement matters, providing detailed opinions on complex technologies such as medical devices, industrial machinery, proprietary software systems, and airport technology.
Anthony also has extensive experience in drafting, prosecuting, and securing patents and trade marks for research institutions and businesses. His expertise also extends to managing design and trade mark portfolios and developing brand protection strategies and assisting local and international clients in maximising the commercial value of their intellectual property.
